Medieval lamps

These designs take inspiration from the archetypal form of medieval candle holders and fire torches, reducing the details down to a series of simple shapes. Designs similar to these would have been the most common method for lighting at that time; they would have used candles that are not too dissimilar from our own but made from animal fat or beeswax. Both designs have been made using traditional sand casting techniques - an age-old process dating back centuries.
